Public profiles are for family members and contributors who have material suitable for the open web. They are separate from genealogy profiles, which focus on evidence, relationships, and source citations.

Living-person profiles are opt-in and should be based on self-contributed, already public, or explicitly approved material. Contact information, birth dates, family details about minors, and private documents are not published without clear permission.
